Hardie Grant Publishing is inspired by its authors and their ideas to create beautiful, accessible, timely and covetable books. Steadfastly independent and originated in Melbourne but with a global outlook, we have been reaching all kinds of readers for 25 years, both geographically and in the types of books we publish.
We are proud to have five publishing imprints. In Melbourne, there are Hardie Grant Books Melbourne, Hardie Grant Explore and Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing. In 2021 we launched our first fiction imprint, Ultimo Press in Sydney. In 2023, we published our very first books commissioned in North America at Hardie Grant Books San Francisco.Defined by a commitment to quality, from author care to award-winning design, we are determined to publish original works that stop readers in their tracks, hold their interest and are widely recommended.
