Katie Smith opened Ramona Books in December 2024 in Westgarth, in Melbourne’s inner north, with no prior bookselling experience. In a short time, she has renovated the space, developed the community, and welcomed her third child. With a background in brand marketing and trend forecasting, she brings a keen eye for culture and storytelling to bookselling. It’s also, occasionally, a convenient place to hide from her three boys.
