Michelle Delle Vergin has owned bookshops in regional areas for 17 years. Within 6 months of starting Booktique Merimbula in 2009, she and her husband Mark secured the café next door and ran the business as a bookshop/café for 6 years.
A move to Wangaratta in 2014 prompted the sale of the shop, and in 2017 Booktique Wangaratta was created from scratch in an empty retail space. In 2024 she identified a gap in the market in Albury, and Booktique Albury, another ground-up business, opened in April that year.
Michelle’s love of books is a life-long passion, and she enjoys sharing that with her customers.
