Fremantle Press is an independent book publisher, based in Western Australia, and embedded in the Australian cultural landscape. Established in 1976 and charged with giving voice to Western Australian writers and bringing stories about this place to the world, the Press has published more than a thousand titles and has launched the careers of an extraordinary number of diverse, award-winning and bestselling storytellers, including Indigenous writers and artists. 

Fremantle Press invests in storytellers from all walks of life and across all genres. We ensure that all Australian’s get to see themselves represented in books and we improve literacy by getting books into the hands of young readers via our Books for Little Bookaburras program. Fremantle Press is renowned for producing quality works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and children’s literature.
